What is Intuitive Eating anyways?
Generally speaking, it means eating when you're hungry and stopping when you are satisfied.
It also means eating the food you truly want, when you want it.
I'm a big believer in letting your body guide you in deciding what to eat.
Take the time to learn what works for your body and take notice of your body's internal cues.
Eat when you are hungry, check in on what you are craving and notice when you are full.
Eat mindfully and trust your body.
How does your body feel after a certain food?
Do you feel bloated?
Sluggish?
Discomfort?
These are cues.
Your body is your most significant source of wisdom for what to eat and when.
We ALL have the power to listen our bodies in this way. Every BODY has different needs and those needs change each day depending on many factors such as physical activity, hormones, sleep etc.
Intuitive eating also includes indulging in moderation, because deprivation will never be sustainable and eating for joy is important too!
